Performance
Aiming for status as a high-performance sports sedan, the Equus is equipped with a 429-horsepower engine. Every aspect of the car’s engineering is designed to make the car go faster with minimal effort. The V8’s lightweight aluminum build reduces engine weight. The high performance transmission, too, is made of lightweight materials. The eight-speed system offers precision gearing. The Overdrive Lock-up Torque Converter improves efficiency at freeway speeds. The air suspension maintains a consistent vehicle height and pitch. By constantly correcting for load and road conditions, the car actually corrects gravity’s pull and minimizes wind resistance in real time.
Interior
Detailing and craftsmanship are emphasized in the car’s elegant interior. The cabin is lined with supple leathers, premium wood trim, and other fine materials. The dash is wrapped in leather, and the headliner is made of a high quality microfiber suede. Standards include front power chairs with thermoelectric technology. This system can control the temperature and humidity of each seat. Rear seat passengers enjoy their own temperature controls and leather seats that power-recline and power-heat. The Ultimate features power rear sunshades and, for the first time, the hands-free trunk opener. The Signature adds ventilated rear seats and power-operated side sunshades. Capping off all of this luxury, the cabin is extremely quiet. This was achieved through acoustic glass, sound-deadening insulation, and sound-reduction engineering.

The dash features push button start, a large LCD gauge cluster, and a 9.2 inch infotainment screen. Premium navigation, smartphone integration, HD radio, and satellite radio are easily accessed via voice controls, steering wheel tab controls, and the car’s multimedia controller. Surround sound is delivered by a 598-watt Lexicon system. The Signature edition adds dual seatback screens for the entertainment of rear seat passengers.
