This 2018 Audi R8 V10 Coupe RWS S tronic is one of just 999 R8 RWS models produced worldwide, with only 320 allocated to the United States. Even more significant, the U.S. received the RWS exclusively as a Coupe, making this a particularly collectible version of Audi's naturally aspirated V10 supercar. The RWS Rear Wheel Series was the first production R8 created specifically around rear-wheel drive and was inspired by the rear-drive concept of Audi Sport's R8 LMS GT4 race car.

Finished in Mythos Black Metallic over a Black interior, this example had an original MSRP of $143,775 and is powered by Audi's spectacular naturally aspirated 5.2L FSI V10 producing 540 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, paired with a lightning-fast 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. Audi quoted 062 mph in 3.7 seconds and a 199-mph top speed for the Coupe.

Unlike the traditional quattro R8, the RWS eliminates the front driveshaft, multi-plate clutch and front differential, reducing weight by approximately 110 pounds versus the comparable quattro Coupe. Audi also gave the RWS a specially developed suspension and chassis setup for its rear-wheel-drive configuration, creating a more engaging, driver-focused R8 with a 40.6:59.4 front-to-rear weight distribution.
